After last year's successful Sohar Industrial Port Cup Challenge, companies around the port are battling it out again in this year's football tournament. The event was the brainchild of HSE Manager of SIPC, Mr Suwaid Al Shamaisi. Highlighting the value of the football challenge, Mr Shamaisi said "This tournament not only promotes sport and healthy lifestyle but encourages companies in the port to get together in friendly competition during the holy month."

This year's tournament is being held at the football court next to the old Safeer Mall in Sohar. Companies from all over the port were invited to join in and this year 24 teams have enthusiastically signed up for challenge.

The tournament is running Saturday through Tuesday from August 23 September 15 and everybody is welcome to watch.
